Kripalu yoga derives from Kundalini yoga. Years of study by master teachers have adapted this rigorous Eastern practice to modern lifestyle. Kripalu means "being compassionate." From this place of compassion, we find ourselves in constant search for our edge. The perfect balance between acceptance and improvement. Three levels are common: gentle, moderate and vigorous vinyasa. Swami Kripalu said "In Kripalu yoga, the asanas, pranayama, and meditation, all happen simultaneously." This type of yoga reminds us to listen to our body and have fun with our practice. Xenia teaches yoga in Sacramento, CA.
